Volunteer Information

The parents of the students participate in activities and programs sponsored by St. Andrew Catholic School and Parish. Parents can volunteer for committees, projects, and programs once they have completed the Safeguard the Children (Virtus) class and Fingerprinting through the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. Safe Guard the Children:
 
Fingerprinting Schedule:
 
Room Parents: assist with class projects, activities, and celebrations; contact parents to share in class and school activities

School Picture Day: assist the photographers with organizing the children

Health Screenings: doctors, nurses, medical assistants help with the student screenings, usually in October

Health Clinic: one-day assist in clinic as needed (CPR, First Aid certification preferred)

Book Fair: assist with the annual Book Fair which is open one Sunday plus school days at the end of January. It involves selling books and helping children and adults with their purchases

See’s Candy Sale packaging: packing up the orders for families (usually in early December)
 
Grandparents and Special Friends Day: plan, publicize, and organize the event

Family Activities: movie nights, parent/child events 

Fun and Fitness Event: organize, publicize, setup, volunteer at the event, and clean–up

Annual Gala and Auction: plan, publicize, and assist with the event. Work begins in the fall and continues until the event
 
Springfest (Fiesta): assist in game booths, ticket sales, security, food sales and much more
