Mrs. Dora Barraza is entering her third year as a teacher for St. Andrew Catholic School. This year she will be teaching Social Studies and Spanish for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students. Additionally, through the Title I Program for the Pasadena Unified School District, Mrs. Barraza is a Title I teacher offering services after school for qualified students in need. For the past two years at St. Andrew Catholic School, Mrs. Barraza taught ELA to 7th and 8th graders and was the 8th grade homeroom teacher. She also taught English for St. Mary’s Catholic School in El Centro, California for five years.
As the English Title I teacher, Mrs. Barraza serviced English and Math students from Kindergarten-8th grade for the Pasadena Unified School District for eight years. Some of the schools she serviced were: St. Andrew Catholic School, Judson International, Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic School, and St. Phillip Catholic School.
Finally, Mrs. Barraza taught English for the Ysleta Independent School District of El Paso, TX at Camino Real Middle School and for Bel Air High School.
When she is not working, Mrs. Barraza enjoys spending time with her family.
