St. Andrew Parish and School Believe Campaign

Dear St. Andrew school families,

Our community’s history gives me great pride – as the first Catholic parish and school in the San Gabriel Valley to growing into a diverse community of faith over the past 130 years, we are the spiritual and educational home to many in Pasadena. In these times, our welcoming spirit is more important than ever.

Over the past two years, in my conversations with many of our St. Andrew Parish and School leaders, we have been trying to meet the expanding needs of our ever-growing community. With a generous lead donation of $10 million and after much prayer and discernment, we have decided to embark on a historic campaign, entitled believe.

Our campaign is a two-fold endeavor: 1) renovate and improve the current school buildings and playground areas, and; 2) develop a new Education and Parish center on the last piece of undeveloped land in Old Pasadena.

Over the Summer 2018 we already completed Phase 1 renovations: reconfigured the rooms to be dedicated academic spaces for Early Childhood, Primary, and Middle School, increased school security and safety by adding a secondary entrance, consolidated the administrative offices, and expanded the Early Education Center and playground. The new campus will become a central meeting place for school and community groups, including:

❖ A brand new 600-person capacity gymnasium able to host sporting events as well as space for our performing arts courses: dance, theater, and music classes, and other student performances

❖ A 175-person capacity youth and young adult education center allowing us to expand our faith formation ministries to ensure spiritual guidance for future generations and those seeking to renew their faith

Successful completion of believe will allow us to finish with school renovations through a Phase 2 improvement project, creating a center for academic and extra-curricular programs, spiritual guidance, and a safe and welcoming space for worship.

Your support for this campaign will build a lasting legacy for St. Andrew Parish and School.

Yours in Christ,
Fr. Paul Sustayta Pastor
