Rationale:
The educational program at St. Andrew Catholic School provides a strong foundation for students aged 3 to 14, emphasizing academic excellence, faith formation, and the development of the whole child. The curriculum is designed to nurture critical thinking, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning through a balanced approach to core subjects including language arts, social studies, mathematics, science and technology, the arts, and physical education. In addition, students are required to learn Spanish to help broaden their cultural understanding and communication skills. Ongoing assessment is conducted by teachers to support individual growth and ensure that each student is meeting learning goals aligned with our academic standards and Catholic values.
Admissions Policy:
For families who wish to be admitted to our Pre-Kindergarten class, your child must have reached his or her third birthday for the three-year-old program prior to September 1 of the respective academic year. In order to be admitted to our Transitional Kindergarten class, the child must have reached his or her fourth birthday prior to September 1 of the respective academic year. Kindergarten admittance is dependent upon the child having reached his or her fifth birthday prior to September 1 of the respective academic year.
St. Andrew Catholic School admits students of any race, color, nationality or ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students. The school does not discriminate on the basis of sex, race, color, or nationality and ethnic origin in the administration of educational policies, athletic, or other school programs.
While schools do not discriminate against students with special needs, a full range of services may not always be available to them. Decisions concerning the admission and continued enrollment of a student in the school are based upon the student’s emotional, academic, and physical abilities and the resources available to the school in meeting the student’s needs.
